How To Create Your Own Content
Creating Your Own Content in Your SocialBAY
Creating your own content in your SocialBAY is a very quick and simple process.
To begin, login into your SocialBAY
- Select the Create Content button at the top of your left side menu.
- This will pull out a window from the right of your screen where you can begin creating your custom post.
- Press the blue Select button associated with the "Create Custom Post" option.
- On the next screen is where you will begin building your custom post.
- Add whatever text you want to in the text box.
- You also have the option to add a link, an image, or a video with the three buttons below the text box.
Please keep in mind that if you are adding a video - there is a five-minute max length rule and that is just due to Instagram Restrictions. Also, if you are adding a link to your custom post, that link would not come across to Instagram because Instagram is a visually based platform and doesn't support links. If you are creating a post with a link, it would be best to keep that post on Facebook and LinkedIn.
With Images - you can add more than one image to the post, if needed, which will create a carousel post for you on Facebook and Instagram.
- You also want to be sure to have your Content Signature included. To read more about how to make sure your Content Signature is set up, please click here.
- Once you have your post typed out and any links, videos or photos selected to go with your post, press the Continue button at the bottom of the window.
- On the next screen, you have a chance to advertise your custom post to get it out in front of more people than just your followers on social media.
- Select whether or not you want to advertise your post, and then select the Continue button at the bottom of the window.
- If you choose to advertise your post, your next steps will be to set up your ad targeting area and your ad budget.
- If you choose to not advertise your post, your next step will be to schedule the date that you want your custom post to post and to what social media accounts. Once you have that entered, press the green Lets Schedule button at the bottom of the screen.
You will then be asked if you want to create another custom post or if you want to see the post that you have just created on your content calendar.
If you select to see your post that you just created, the system will take you to your scheduled post so you can see it.
From here, you have the ability to advertise, edit or delete that post you created.
HELPFUL HINT: Use Hashtags in your post to help your post organically reach more people!
