Creating custom content in SocialBAY is a quick and simple way to share your unique voice! Follow this step-by-step guide to build, schedule, and promote your custom posts like a pro. 🌟

🏁 Step 1: Start Your Custom Post

  1. Log in to your SocialBAY dashboard.

  2. Click the Schedule Post πŸ“… button at the top of the left-hand menu.

  3. A window will slide out from the right. Click the blue Select button under the "Create Custom Post" option.

✍️ Step 2: Build Your Content

In the creation window, you have total creative freedom:

  • Add Text: Type your caption directly into the main text box. πŸ“

  • Enhance with Media: Use the buttons below the text box to add a Link πŸ”—, Image πŸ“Έ, or Video πŸŽ₯.

πŸ’‘ Media Guidelines to Remember:

  • Videos: Keep it short and sweet! There is a 5-minute maximum length due to Instagram restrictions. ⏳

  • Links: Instagram is a visual worldβ€”it doesn't support clickable links in captions. If your post is link-heavy, we recommend sticking to Facebook and LinkedIn. 🌐

  • Carousels: Upload multiple images to automatically create a "carousel" post for Facebook and Instagram. 🎠

  • Content Header or Signature: Don't forget your digital business card! If you haven't set up your Content Header or Signature yet, [click here to learn how]. πŸ–‹οΈ

πŸš€ Step 3: Advertising & Promotion

After clicking Continue, it’s time to decide how loud you want to shout! πŸ“£

  • To Advertise: Select Yes to reach people beyond your current followers. You will then set your Ad Targeting Area πŸ“ and Budget πŸ’°. To learn more about advertisting your content [click here]. 

  • Organic Only: Select No to move directly to standard scheduling.

βœ… Step 4: Finalize and Schedule

  1. Choose Your Channels: Select the social media accounts where you want the post to appear. πŸ“±

  2. Set the Date: Pick the perfect date and time for your post to go live. ⏰

  3. Finish: Click the green Let’s Schedule button at the bottom of the screen. 🎊

πŸ—“οΈ Managing Your Posts

Once scheduled, you can jump over to your Content Calendar to see your masterpiece. From there, you can:

  • Edit ✏️ the text or media.

  • Advertise πŸ“ˆ a previously organic post.

  • Delete πŸ—‘οΈ the post if you need a do-over.

HELPFUL HINT: Don't forget the Hashtags! #️⃣ Adding relevant tags is the best way to help your post reach a wider audience organically.
