Deleting a Published Post on X (Twitter)

If a post on your Content Calendar appears greyed out, it means the content has already been successfully published to X and your other connected social media accounts.

Because the post is already "live," edits can no longer be made through our dashboard. However, if you need to remove the post entirely, you can do so directly on X using the steps below.

How to Delete Your Post

You can remove a post using either the desktop website or the X mobile app.

1. Log In: Access your account at X.com or open the app.

2. Go to Profile: Navigate to your profile page to see your timeline of posts.

3. Locate the Post: Scroll to find the specific post you wish to remove.

4. Open Options: Click or tap the three dots (···) icon located in the top-right corner of the post.

5. Select Delete: Choose Delete from the menu that appears.

6. Confirm: A confirmation pop-up will appear. Select Delete again to permanently remove the post.

Note: Once a post is deleted on X, it cannot be recovered. If the post was shared to other social platforms (like Facebook or Instagram), you will need to repeat this process on those specific platforms as well.

Why is my post greyed out?

Once our system pushes your content to the social networks, the "scheduled" state ends and the "published" state begins. We grey out the entry in your calendar to prevent accidental double-posting and to show you that the task is complete!
