Connecting your Facebook business page to SocialBAY allows you to automate content and manage advertising in one place. Because of the advertising integration, Meta requires specific high-level permissions.
Use this guide to ensure your settings are configured correctly for a seamless connection.
To connect SocialBAY, you must have the highest level of authority on both the Page and the Business Account.
You must have "Full Control" of the Facebook Page.
Note: This was formerly known as "Admin" in Classic Page roles.
You must also have "Full Control" business access within the Meta Business Account that owns the page.
If you need to adjust your settings or are having trouble with ownership, refer to these official Meta guides:
Still having trouble? If your settings are correct but the connection is failing, visitFacebook Business Support for direct assistance from Meta.
This is usually due to a "Business Integration" glitch. Even if you have the right roles on the Page, Facebook might not have authorized the SocialBAY app itself.
Facebook recently updated its layout to the "New Pages Experience." The old "Admin" role is now split into "Facebook Access" and "Task Access."
The Fix: You must be listed under "People with Facebook access" with the "Full Control" toggle enabled. If you are only listed under "Task Access," the connection will fail.
To manage a business page, Meta requires you to authenticate via the personal profile that has authority over that page.
Note: SocialBAY cannot see your personal photos, post to your personal timeline, or message your friends. We only use this "handshake" to reach your business assets.
If your Page isn't showing up in the Business Suite, it might be "owned" by a different Business Account or not linked to one yet.
If you plan on automating Instagram content through SocialBAY, your Instagram Professional account must be linked to your Facebook Business Page.
The Fix: Go to your Facebook Page Settings > Linked Accounts and ensure your Instagram handle is showing as "Connected.".
While Back At You is an official Meta Business Marketing Partner, our support teams cannot modify your Facebook settings, change ownership, or bypass Meta’s security protocols. All access changes must be performed by an account holder within the Facebook/Meta interface.
