📊 Reach vs. Impressions: Understanding Your Impact

🏠 Overview

When you look at your social media reports, "Reach" and "Impressions" are the two most important numbers for measuring your brand’s visibility.
This guide breaks down what they mean and how you can use them to grow your business.

⚙️ The Key Differences

While both metrics measure how your content is viewed, they track different types of data:

  1. Impressions (Total Views)

    • This is the number of times your post was displayed on a screen.

    • Example: If a potential client sees your new listing in their News Feed once, and then sees it a second time when a friend shares it, that counts as 2 impressions.

    • People often see multiple impressions of the same post.

  2. Reach (Unique Viewers)

    • This is the number of individual people
      who viewed your content.

    • Think of this as "Unique Views." Even if one person sees your post five times, they only count as 1 person reached.

📈 Organic vs. Paid Reach

Not all reach is the same! Depending on your goals, you will see two different types in your dashboard:

  • Organic Reach:
The number of people who saw your content for free because they follow your Page or found you through a search.

  • Paid Reach:
The number of people who saw your post because you paid for an advertisement.
This allows you to reach people who don't follow you yet.

💡 Pro Tips for Real Estate Agents

  • Why Reach is lower than Impressions: It’s normal for your reach to be smaller than your impressions. This just means some people are seeing your helpful content or listings more than once!

  • Boosting Your Numbers: If you want to increase both Reach and Impressions, we recommend running your scheduled content as a Paid Advertisement.

  • Create Your Own: You don’t have to wait for a scheduled post—you can create your own custom content to run as an ad anytime!
